BAYBAY CITY, LEYTE – October 18, 2025. The Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception – Modern Business Achievers (FCIC-MBA) brought learning beyond the classroom as they held a dynamic team-building event at Shingshing Resort, Baybay City, Leyte.
The activity, led by department heads Mrs. Glenn Visto, Dean of the College of Business Management and Administration, Mrs. Sigrid Niña Belmonte, Club Moderator, and Ms. Jocelyn Nayre, CBMA Faculty, in collaboration with the MBA student officers, aimed to strengthen camaraderie, cooperation, and shared purpose among participants.
The day was filled with interactive and fun challenges designed to test teamwork and creativity. Among the highlights were The Longest Line, Funnel Race, Balloon Race, The Floor is Lava, Reflection and Sharing, and a refreshing swimming session that capped the day’s activities.
Beyond the laughter and excitement, the event fostered valuable lessons in communication, trust, and collaboration, skills essential not only in academics but also in the students’ future professional journeys.
In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the FCIC-MBA team-building underscored the following objectives:
- SDG 4 – Quality Education: Promoting holistic learning experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom walls.
- SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: Encouraging personal development and social integration as part of professional growth.
- SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: Nurturing mutual respect and teamwork in addressing challenges collectively.
The event served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of unity and sustainable development, emphasizing that true success comes from working together toward common goals.
As the Modern Business Achievers move forward, the lessons from the team-building activity stand as a testament to their commitment to excellence, friendship, and shared values.
Indeed, joy is being Franciscan!
