In the spirit of Saint Francis and our mission to provide Christ-centered, transformative Franciscan education, we were truly honored to be invited to the 11th Pasidungog 2024, hosted by the DepEd Baybay City Division, with the theme “Ganti ug Pasalamat: Honoring the Stars of Competence and Heart.”
As one of DepEd’s valued stakeholders, we are proud and grateful to share that Sister Mary Michael G. Bactong, OSF, PhD.Ed, School President of the Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception, Baybay, Leyte, Inc. (FCIC), was recognized as one of the Division’s Outstanding Stakeholders. This recognition is a meaningful tribute to her leadership and lifelong service, truly living out Integrity in Excellence.
The award was warmly received on her behalf by our Sisters:
💠 Sr. M. Teresita Lopez, OSF – Vice President for Administration
💠 Sr. M. Annette Escasinas, OSF – Vice President for Academics
💠 Sr. M. Maureen Ruiz, OSF – Assistant Head, Physical Plant, Facilities, Maintenance and Development
💠 Sr. Maria Isabel A. Arnaiz, OSF – School Registrar
We are also proud to share that many of the awardees that day were from FCIC, further proof of the commitment and excellence that our institution continues to foster.
After the well-organized program, a group of FCIC alumni approached the sisters for a photo. To their surprise, the alumni began singing the FCIC Hymn, a touching and heartfelt gesture that filled us with joy. Their sincerity and loyalty reminded us of the deep and lasting bonds formed through our Franciscan formation.
We sincerely thank the DepEd Baybay City Division, headed by Dr. Manuel P. Albaño, for the kind invitation and meaningful recognition. We are grateful for his leadership and openness to partnership in the spirit of service.
Congratulations once again to Sister Mary Michael and to the entire FCIC community for continuing to make a difference, with competence, compassion, and heart.
To God be all the glory!
