A Legacy of Excellence in Hospitality and Skills Development
Get ready to celebrate the FCIC TESDA Assessment Center, a powerhouse of opportunity dedicated to propelling the careers of FCIC Hospitality Management students in the vibrant hospitality sector. Since its launch in 2008, under the inspiring leadership of Ms. Christine Garido ( now Sister M. Christine Garrido, OSF), this center has been a shining beacon for students, equipping them with the cutting-edge technical skills they need to stand tall in an increasingly competitive job market.
Rising Stronger from Adversity
In 2013, the center faced one of its most significant trials when Typhoon Yolanda unleashed its devastating force on Leyte, wreaking havoc on its facilities. However, the indomitable spirit of the OSF sisters rose to the occasion! Led by Sister M. Marlisse Briva, OSF, and her passionate team, they embarked on an ambitious journey of rebuilding. Their vision? A revitalized TESDA Assessment Center that not only emphasized hospitality management but also expanded into an exciting range of tourism programs. Their commitment to the community ensured that students could continue on their path to receiving top-notch training and certification.
A New Chapter
With the reconstruction efforts in full swing, the reborn FCIC TESDA Assessment Center now proudly resides in the 5th District of Leyte. This modern facility isn’t just a building; it’s a vibrant hub offering premier assessment and certification services tailored to tourism-related programs. Designed with the evolving workforce in mind, the center guarantees that graduates emerge with the skills and competencies the dynamic tourism industry demands.
Commitment to Quality Assessment Like No Other
The FCIC TESDA Assessment Center has come to be known for its rigorous assessment processes that uphold the highest TESDA standards. With a stellar team of skilled assessors and experienced trainers boasting extensive industry backgrounds, every candidate is put through a comprehensive assessment that showcases their mastery of crucial competencies. Thanks to this approach, candidates walk away with national certificates that significantly boost their job prospects, landing them rewarding positions in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Under the dynamic leadership of Sister Mary Michael G. Bactong, OSF, the center has become more than just a training facility; it is now a catalyst for transformation. On January 17, 2024, history was made as the FCIC Assessment Center proudly nabbed the prestigious title of “2024 Best Accredited Assessment Center.” This celebrated recognition was awarded during the grand TESDA Leyte Accredited Competency Assessors 1st Assembly at Madison Hotel in Tacloban City, with Mr. Irneil Pepito, our dedicated assessment manager, representing the center. Mr. Pepito has been a driving force in enhancing the program for nine long, productive years.
This award is a testament to the team’s unwavering commitment to excellence and community empowerment. The relentless pursuit of quality, combined with alignment with FCIC’s vision and goals, sets this center apart from the rest. This honor underscores every team member’s collective hard work, passion, and dedication, leaving an impactful legacy in the community and beyond.
