The Franciscan College of The Immaculate Conception (FCIC) conducted its Second Institutional In-Service: Rainforestation Efforts This significant event took place in the FCIC Main Audio-Visual Room on the 14th day of August 2024.
It gradually brought together faculty and staff for a day of reflection and learning. The foreground of the in-service was a compelling presentation on Rainforestation, delivered by Sister M. Johanna Calixtro, OSF. Sister Calixtro, an esteemed advocate for environmental stewardship and sustainable practices, captivated the audience with her insights on the urgent need for rainforestation efforts in the face of climate change. Sister Johanna’s presentation indicates the importance of nurturing the earth and restoring ecological balance, aligning perfectly with the event’s theme. Sister Calixtro’s presentation not only educated attendees about the principles of Rainforestation but also inspired them to consider their roles in promoting environmental sustainability within their communities.
