Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception officially launched its 80th Founding Anniversary, celebrating eight decades of Franciscan excellence. Guided by the theme, “Moving Forward Together to 80 Years and Beyond,” the milestone honors FCIC’s enduring legacy of faith, service, leadership, and academic excellence.

Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception strengthened its commitment to research excellence through participation in the International Training-Workshop on Designing and Publishing Mixed-Methods Research. The program enhanced participants’ competencies in research design, scholarly writing, and publishing in high-impact international journals.

FCIC’s College Faculty In-Service Program fostered social and spiritual wellness through a faith-filled journey in Ormoc City. Faculty members strengthened camaraderie, reflected on their shared mission, and renewed their commitment to Franciscan values, holistic well-being, and excellence in Catholic education.

The FCIC Graduate School welcomed incoming students for AY 2026–2027 through a meaningful onboarding program that introduced academic expectations, graduate education values, and support systems. Inspiring sessions encouraged humility, resilience, lifelong learning, and a strong commitment to excellence, research, and professional growth.

Dr. Maria Victoria A. Gonzaga, Dean of FCIC’s Graduate School and College of Teacher Education, has been named a Top 5 National Outstanding PERAA Members finalist in the Academic Heads category. Her achievement reflects FCIC’s commitment to transformative Franciscan education, exemplary leadership, professional excellence, and dedicated service to community.

The FCIC Non-Teaching Personnel Orientation for School Year 2026–2027 strengthened employees’ commitment to Franciscan values through sessions on simplicity, service, and joy, employee benefits, and financial literacy. The program fostered professional growth, financial awareness, and unity among new and returning non-teaching personnel.

FCIC’s Basic Education Parents’ General Orientation for Academic Year 2026–2027 strengthened the school-home partnership by equipping parents with essential academic updates, school services, and Franciscan values, fostering collaboration in nurturing learners’ holistic growth, academic excellence, and responsible citizenship.

The FCIC Employees General Orientation 2026 united faculty and staff under the theme “Moving Forward Together to 80 Years and Beyond.” Through spiritual reflection, leadership messages, organizational updates, and personnel presentations, employees strengthened their commitment to Franciscan values, collaboration, and institutional excellence.

A total of 84 tutors and Youth Development Workers completed a five-day Tara, Basa! training on April 17, 2026, strengthening literacy efforts through collaboration among schools, government agencies, and community partners to support children’s learning and development in Baybay City.
