FCIC Swimmers Achieve Outstanding Wins at Palaski sa Baybay City 2025

The Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception (FCIC) proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of its swimmers during the Palaski sa Baybay City 2025 competition held from December 1–3, 2025 at the Binaybayon Aquatic Center. FCIC athletes delivered an impressive performance, bringing home multiple medals across various swimming events.

The competition highlighted the outstanding skills of Grade 8 student Florian Blaise B. Dutullo, and Grade 11 students Doshi Laurence Poliquit and Vidal Dave Salubre. Notably, Dutullo and Poliquit earned their qualification to represent Baybay City in the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet this coming March 2026.

Grade 8 swimmer Florian Blaise B. Dutullo delivered an exceptional display of talent, securing a total of five medals during the competition. He earned gold medals in the 200m Butterfly and 200m Backstroke, silver medals in the 50m Butterfly and 100m Backstroke, and another silver in the 50m Freestyle. His strong and consistent performance across all events highlighted his discipline and competitive drive.

Meanwhile, Grade 11 swimmer Doshi Laurence Poliquit also stood out, bringing home four medals. He captured gold in the 50m Butterfly, silver in both the 50m Backstroke and 200m Freestyle, and a bronze in the 100m Freestyle. His achievements showcased his versatility, demonstrating his capability to excel in both sprint and middle-distance races.

Adding to FCIC’s medal tally, Grade 11 swimmer Vidal Dave Salubre secured a bronze medal in the 50m Backstroke, further strengthening the overall performance of the FCIC swim delegation through his determined effort in the event.

The swimmers received full support from their families, the FCIC community, and Coach Ms. Angela Mendoza, who accompanied and guided them throughout the competition. Their discipline and determination were the true driving forces behind their success.

Both Dutullo and Poliquit expressed their excitement as they prepare for the EVRAA 2026, marking a proud moment for FCIC athletics.

These achievements reinforce FCIC’s commitment to holistic development, encouraging students to excel not only academically but also in sports, leadership, and character. The swimmers’ outstanding performance brings pride to the school and inspires fellow Franciscans to pursue their passions with the same dedication.

With the full support of FCIC, Dutullo and Poliquit will continue their journey toward the EVRAA Meet 2026, carrying the spirit of the school with them.
