FCIC College of Information Technology: Strengthens Camaraderie Through Team Building 2025

CIT Team Building 2025: “Moving Forward together as Pilgrims of Hope: One Team, One Mission, One Heart”

October 11, 2025 | Shing-Shing Resort, Maitum, Baybay City, Leyte

Last October 11, 2025, the College of Information Technology (CIT) of the Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception (FCIC) gathered for a meaningful and joy-filled Team Building Activity at Shing-Shing Resort, Maitum, Baybay City, Leyte. The event was held in celebration of the feast of St. Carlo Acutis, the Patron Saint of the College of Information Technology, whose life continues to inspire the young generation to live with faith and purpose in the digital age.

The activity brought together 94 Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students from various year levels, along with the IT faculty and the CIT Dean, for a day filled with learning, fellowship, and fun. Serving as a meaningful break from academic routines, the event focused on building teamwork and collaboration outside the usual classroom setting, encouraging participants to bond, communicate, and work as one family. Sister M. Annette Escasinas, OSF, Vice President for Academic Affairs, graced the event with an inspiring message on teamwork, faith, and service, reminding everyone that unity and compassion lie at the heart of every Franciscan endeavor and must be lived out both in their studies and future careers.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in team challenges, cooperative games, and reflection activities that tested their leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Beyond the excitement and laughter, the experience instilled a deeper appreciation for working together towards common goals, a value that resonates strongly with the college’s mission.

As the event concluded, the participants expressed gratitude for the meaningful opportunity to reconnect and build lasting friendships. The success of the activity reflected FCIC’s commitment to the holistic formation of its students, nurturing not only their technical competence but also their character and community spirit.

With hearts full of joy and renewed energy, the CIT family continues to live out its motto “Anchored in Values, Driven by Innovation” as one Franciscan community united in purpose and faith.
