The Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts (POSE) 2026 was successfully held on March 28, 2026, at the VSU Lower Campus Oval through the collaboration of the Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception (FCIC-ROTC) and the Visayas State University (VSU-ROTC) Unit. The event began with the Ceremonial Parade and Review of all NSTP-ROTC cadets and cadettes, who displayed discipline, unity, and precision. This was followed by the Invocation Prayer led by Mrs. Glen E. Visto, MPA, FCIC NSTP Director, formally opening the program in a solemn and meaningful manner.
The Opening Remarks were delivered by Dr. Moises Neil V. SereΓ±o VP for Administration and Finance, representing Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yapes, President of Visayas State University. One of the highlights of the event was the Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts to the Cadet Corps, including the Relinquishment and Assumption of Duties of the Corps Sponsor. Miss Annika Rheece C. YbaΓ±ez, the outgoing Corps Sponsor, and Miss Ma. Teresa S. Gumba, the incoming Corps Sponsor, shared inspiring messages, emphasizing the responsibilities, leadership, and dedication expected from their roles.
Adding to the excitement of the program, all sponsors and escorts presented a lively intermission number that brought joy and entertainment to the audience. Afterwards, LTC Celeste Frank L. Sayson INF (GSC) PA, Commandant of VSU-ROTC Unit, introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The message, read by Sister Maria Isabel Arnaiz, OSF, Executive Secretary on behalf of Sister Mary Michael Bactong, OSF, School President emphasized the importance of leadership through connection and service, reminding everyone that “ππ¦π’π₯π¦π³π΄π©πͺπ± πͺπ΄ π―π°π΅ π’π£π°πΆπ΅ π±π°π΄πͺπ΅πͺπ°π―, πͺπ΅ πͺπ΄ π’π£π°πΆπ΅ π©π°πΈ π€π°π―π―π¦π€π΅π¦π₯ πΊπ°πΆ π’π³π¦ π΅π° π΅π©π¦ π±π¦π°π±ππ¦ π’π³π°πΆπ―π₯ πΊπ°πΆ.”
The event continued to the Distribution of Awards and Recognition, wherein outstanding cadets and cadettes were recognized for their achievements and dedication. To conclude the event, both VSU-ROTC and FCIC-ROTC Units marched around the oval, signifying unity and purpose, followed by a photo opportunity to capture the moment. The event was a true embodiment of the essence of leadership, camaraderie, and commitment of the cadets as they move forward in their service to the country.
