FCIC Celebrates Asean Month Culmination

Festivity, unity, and student excellence took center stage as the Father Cecilio College of Carigara (FCIC) brought its ASEAN Month Celebration to a meaningful close, highlighting the spirit of cooperation and the shared aspirations of the ASEAN community.

The Closing Program commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Everyone remained standing as the ASEAN Hymn filled the venue, setting a reflective tone for a celebration centered on unity, diversity, and collaboration.

Sister M. Monette Felices, OSF, welcomed the students and expressed her appreciation for their active participation throughout the month-long celebration. She commended their enthusiasm, talents, and dedication in bringing this year’s theme, “Navigating Our Future, Together,” to life.

The program proceeded with the introduction of the distinguished panel of judges for the much-anticipated Declamation Contest, composed of Mr. Ernesto Alolor, PhD, and Mr. Jie Lim, MACDDS.

Taking the stage with confidence, the student participants delivered compelling declamations that conveyed messages of unity, respect, cooperation, and collective responsibility. Through their powerful voices and expressive performances, they reminded their fellow students of the importance of moving forward with one heart and one purpose.

Following the competition, certificates of appreciation were presented to the board of judges by Sister M. Monette Felices, OSF, in recognition of their valuable contribution to the celebration.

The program was further enlivened by intermission performances from the Department of Criminology and the Department of Hospitality Management, showcasing the students’ talents and adding vibrancy to the occasion.

The awarding ceremony then commenced, recognizing the winners of the Quiz Bee, Poster-Making Contest, and Marathon Game. Anticipation filled the venue as the crowd awaited the final announcement—the winners of the Declamation Contest.

As the celebration drew to a close, Mr. Ian James Acilo delivered the closing message, extending his sincere gratitude to the students, faculty members, organizers, judges, and everyone whose efforts contributed to the success of the ASEAN Month Celebration.

The gathering concluded with the singing of the FCIC Hymn, leaving the community with a renewed sense of unity, gratitude, and pride.

More than a celebration, the ASEAN Month culmination served as a reminder that navigating the future requires collective effort, mutual respect, and an appreciation of diversity. Together, the FCIC community continues to embrace the spirit of “Navigating Our Future, Together.”
