FCIC Non-Teaching Personnel Embark on a Faith-Filled Pilgrimage to Nine Pilgrim Churches

In celebration of the Jubilee Year 2025, the Non-Teaching Personnel (NTP) of the Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception, Baybay City, Leyte, Incorporated (FCIC) embarked on a meaningful and faith-enriching pilgrimage to nine (9) Pilgrim Churches across Leyte and Southern Leyte on October 18, 2025.

The day began early at 5:00 a.m., with the participants gathered in anticipation for a day of prayer, reflection, and fellowship. The pilgrimage officially started with a Holy Mass at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Baybay City, setting the spiritual tone for the journey ahead.

The pilgrims then visited several sacred destinations, including the Diocesan Shrine of San Antonio de Padua in Pomponan, San Isidro Chapel in Punta, St. John the Baptist Parish in San Juan, Immaculate Conception Parish in Sogod, Holy Child Parish in Malitbog, the Cathedral–National Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption in Tunga-tunga, Maasin City, Saint Joseph Parish in Matalom, and finally the Immaculate Conception Parish in Hilongos. Each stop offered a chance for quiet prayer, reflection, and thanksgiving, allowing everyone to grow spiritually while journeying together in faith.

Prior to the pilgrimage, participants were encouraged to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, ensuring that they undertook the journey with a cleansed heart and renewed faith. Throughout the day, pilgrims offered intentions for their families, the school community, and for peace and guidance in their personal lives. The experience also became a moment of bonding and spiritual renewal for the entire NTP community.

The pilgrimage concluded with hearts full of gratitude, joy, and renewed spiritual vigor. The NTP participants expressed their heartfelt thanks to the School Administration and the Human Resource Office for organizing the event, which not only strengthened faith but also deepened bonds of friendship among colleagues.

“This pilgrimage reminded us that our work is not just a job—it is a vocation of service. We return renewed, with faith that inspires us to give our best every day,” shared one of the NTP participants.

Indeed, the FCIC Non-Teaching Personnel Pilgrimage 2025 was not merely a journey across churches — it was a journey of the soul, a living testimony of faith in action, and a reminder that God continually walks with the FCIC community.
