The Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception (FCIC) successfully held its Basic Education Recognition Ceremony on March 30, 2026, celebrating the academic achievements of students for the 2025–2026 school year under the theme, “Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character.”
The celebration began with a Holy Mass at the FCIC Holy Trinity Chapel, attended by students, parents, teachers, school administrators, and guests. During the Mass, the Gospel reading, John 12:1-11, highlighted the virtues of humility, generosity, and devotion – values reflected in the students’ pursuit of academic excellence.
After the Mass, students, together with their parents and guardians, proceeded to the Students Center for the formal Academic Procession to the FCIC Gymnasium. Leading the procession were the Color Platoon, the Basic Education Honors and Special Awardees with their class advisers, the Basic Education faculty, subject area coordinators, the vice principal and principal, members of the administration, vice presidents for academics, administration, and finance, distinguished guests, the Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration, and the School President.
The ceremony formally opened with the Entrance of Colors, led by FCIC Criminology Students – Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), symbolizing patriotism and unity. Following this, the Invocation was delivered by Nicole Marie Nite, a Grade 11 student with High Honors.
Next, a warm and inspiring Welcome Address was delivered by King T. Nablea, a Grade 6 student with High Honors, who expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of the school community.
The highlight of the program was the Recognition of Academic Achievers and Special Awardees, where students were presented with certificates and medals by their teachers. In addition, Special Awards were formally conferred by Miss Fennie Lyn Y. Atilano, LPT, recognizing students who excelled in their chosen fields of endeavor.
Adding inspiration to the event, Gayle Gabrielle N. Albarico, a Grade 9 student with High Honors, delivered the Academic Excellence Address, encouraging her peers:
“Let us remember that excellence is not something we reach once; it is something we continue to work on every day.”
In conclusion, the ceremony was a meaningful celebration of both academic achievement and Franciscan values, underscoring the students’ readiness to graduate as Filipino leaders equipped with competence, character, and a commitment to service.
