Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception (FCIC) successfully conducted its Employees General Orientation 2026 on June 5, 2026, at the FCIC Chapel and Audio-Visual Room (AVR). Anchored on the theme, “Moving Forward Together to 80 Years and Beyond,” the activity brought together faculty members, administrators, and non-teaching personnel to prepare for Academic Year 2026–2027 through a meaningful day of spiritual reflection, organizational updates, and institutional renewal.
The orientation aimed to welcome all employees and provide them with important information regarding the institution’s vision, mission, organizational developments, personnel assignments, and leadership transitions. It also served as an opportunity to strengthen unity and commitment among employees as FCIC continues its journey toward greater excellence in education and service.
The day began with the registration of employees at 7:00 A.M., followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the FCIC Chapel. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Msgr. Martinito Bansig and facilitated by Sr. M. Elenor Egano, OSF, Campus Ministry In-Charge of Liturgy. The Mass provided a solemn and meaningful start to the orientation, allowing employees to reflect on their vocation as educators and staff members serving the Franciscan educational community.
Throughout the celebration, participants were reminded of the values of gratitude, faith, service, and unity. The spiritual gathering encouraged everyone to entrust the new academic year to God and seek guidance in fulfilling their respective roles and responsibilities within the institution.
Following the Holy Eucharist, employees proceeded to the Audio-Visual Room for the orientation proper. The program opened with a fellowship gathering and light refreshments, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and connection among employees from different departments and offices. This informal interaction strengthened relationships and fostered a sense of belonging within the FCIC community.
One of the highlights of the program was the inspirational session entitled “Call to Mission: Best for Franciscan Identity and Vision-Mission Statement,” delivered by Sr. M. Annette Escasinas, OSF, Head of the Center for Evangelization and Franciscan Mission. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of living out Franciscan values in the workplace and remaining faithful to the institution’s vision and mission. She encouraged employees to view their work not merely as a profession but as a mission dedicated to serving students, families, and the wider community.
The orientation continued with the message of Sr. Andrea G. Tomanda, OSF, School President. In her inspiring address, she emphasized that every new appointment and responsibility entrusted to employees represents a sacred opportunity for renewal and service. She reminded participants that leadership and service are not defined by titles or positions but by compassion, integrity, and dedication to the institution’s educational mission.
Sr. Andrea highlighted the significance of embracing one’s vocation with courage and commitment. She encouraged all employees to view their roles as opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of students and clients. She further emphasized that every task performed with sincerity contributes to the growth and success of the institution. Her message concluded with a call for unity, urging everyone to work together in making FCIC not only a center of learning but also a beacon of hope, love, and Franciscan values.
A significant part of the orientation was the Turn-Over of Responsibilities and Acceptance Ceremony. This formal segment recognized outgoing administrators and personnel for their dedicated service while officially welcoming incoming leaders who would assume key positions for Academic Year 2026–2027. The ceremony symbolized continuity, accountability, and shared commitment to institutional development. It also reflected the trust placed in new leaders to guide their respective offices toward achieving the institution’s goals and objectives.
Following the turnover ceremony, the Presentation of Personnel was conducted. School Vice Presidents introduced the faculty and staff members under their respective departments and offices. This activity allowed employees to become more familiar with the organizational structure and strengthened collaboration among different units of the institution.
Throughout the orientation, participants actively listened to presentations and gained valuable insights regarding institutional priorities, personnel assignments, and organizational directions for the new academic year. The activity promoted transparency, enhanced communication, and reinforced teamwork among employees.
The program concluded successfully under the guidance of Mr. Jie Lim, MACDDS, who served as the Master of Ceremony. Overall, the Employees General Orientation 2026 achieved its objectives of informing, inspiring, and uniting the school community. More importantly, it strengthened employees’ commitment to uphold Franciscan values and contribute positively to the continuous growth and success of FCIC as it moves forward together toward its 80th year and beyond.
